Job objectives and responsibilities:
- To successfully manage and lead the relevant regional team whilst ensuring the growth and profitable operation of the area.
- Implement a positive health and safety culture.
Main duties:
- Pro-actively demonstrate and work to the Company's values.
- Efficiently and cost-effectively manage and develop the contract portfolios.
- Analyse current contracts and assess their ongoing contribution to the profitable operation of the region.
- Assist with contract renegotiations where necessary.
- Manage and develop a professional and effective operational team.
- Develop a succession plan for all key roles within your team.
- Meet and/or exceed financial targets including WIP, debt and GRN process.
- Set, monitor, evaluate and recommend budgetary adjustments.
- Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers.
- Ensure that all SLAs and KPIs are met for the portfolio.
- Support the development of new sales.
- Provide management information/reporting as required.
- Monitor and control supplier, sub-contractor and labour costs.
- Develop, communicate and implement Regional Strategy as agreed.
- Stay abreast of opportunities for developing the company in the energy market.
- Lead by example with regards to health and safety.
- Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
- Comply with all QHSE policies and procedures.
- Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.

Person Specification:
- Holds relevant professional, technical or management qualifications, and/or has relevant experience.
- Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems.
- Able to represent MITIE effectively at both internal and external meetings.
- Able to undertake budget setting and demonstrate appropriate financial management.
- Able to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Seeks out and takes opportunities to learn new skills.
- Leads by example in all role activities.
Health and Safety responsibilities:
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.
Information Security:
- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
- Report actual and suspected security incidents.
