Control Room Administrator – Split Shifts (4 on / 4 off)
National Operations Centre, Northampton
£9 per year (14 hours per week with potential for more)
4 on / 4 off – split shifts ⏰ 06:30–08:30 & 18:30–20:30 on shift days

Our National Operations Centre operates 24/7, supporting thousands of people working across the UK. This role focuses on critical morning and evening cover, when sites are opening, closing, and staff movements are at their highest. When someone doesn't arrive on site, runs late, or misses a welfare check, you're the person who spots it, takes action, and keeps people safe. This is a calm, responsible role in a fast-moving environment where attention to detail really matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor live staffing and attendance across multiple sites
- Manage incidents where staff are late, absent, or need urgent support
- Monitor welfare check calls and act quickly if someone goes quiet
- Respond to duress alerts and escalate incidents calmly and accurately
- Handle calls and emails from sites and managers during peak periods
- Record incidents and actions clearly so nothing is missed
- Support effective handovers between shifts

Who We're Looking For
You don't need previous control room experience, but you do need to be:
- Confident using multiple computer systems at the same time
- Calm under pressure and able to think clearly during busy periods
- Organised, accurate, and detail-focused
- Comfortable speaking to managers, clients, and site staff
- Reliable and able to commit to a 4 on / 4 off pattern
If you've worked in admin, operations, call handling, logistics, or monitoring environments, you'll settle in quickly.
