The Document Controller will make a significant impact on our documentation processes. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate the management of our document systems to ensure they are consistently updated and optimised for efficiency.
Role and Responsibilities
- Meticulously overseeing the flow of critical documents, ensuring their accurate storage and seamless accessibility.
- Provide crucial support to our team, ensuring they can navigate the systems effortlessly, thereby enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
- Ensuring strict adherence to industry standards, fostering a culture of compliance within our organisation.
- Update Electronic Document Management System to ensure documentation adheres to work instructions.
- Manage documentation, in accordance with Document Schedules to preserve evidential information that can be sourced when required.
- Distribution of safety critical documentation to ensure complete, accurate and quality information is available at all locations and in emergency situations.
- Seek continuous improvements in process to improve efficiency in technical and company management system documentation.
- Track and manage information to establish accountability and traceability.
- Deliver front line support for information queries to facilitate business requirements.
- Audit controlled documents to ensure integrity and confidence in the documentation held.
- Ensure Information flow effective between end user and management system.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the use of electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering and design documentation types and numbering.
- Motivated self-starter, ability to work on own initiative.
- Methodical and organised, with good attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, presentational and communication skills.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
