The Summit One campus is a corporate client HQ comprising three main office buildings, a vehicle workshop, two multi-level car parks, and some satellite buildings. The role is within a team of 8 M&E trades and Handymen, supported by on-site management and admin staff, providing a wide range of facilities services. Work is transmitted via a CAFM system and administered through a handheld device. Flexibility, physical fitness, and customer focus are essential, as well as participation in an on-call rota averaging 1 week in 6. Remote service is also provided to the Training Academy at Wokefield Park, approximately 30 miles away, with a pool vehicle available for travel.
Job Overview
This site-based role supports the client site in Farnborough. We seek motivated tradespeople to join our growing engineering team. Our Multi Skilled Technicians deliver facilities support across client sites, handling general/fabric maintenance and support tasks. They report to Regional Operations Supervisors and perform reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance, with training provided as needed.
Working Hours
The core hours are 07:00 to 16:00, with some flexibility depending on individual circumstances.
Main Duties
- Weekly & monthly planned maintenance (fire alarm tests, water flushing, emergency lighting tests, etc.)
- Monthly utilities meter readings
- First-line response to reactive repairs
- Re-lamping luminaries
- Minor building fabric repairs and decorating
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Ad hoc porterage duties (moves, furniture management)
- Maintain accurate work order documentation
- Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Complete required documentation, including RAMS and permits
- Participate in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal hours
- Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness
- Assist team members and undertake additional training as required
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate work progress
- Proactively report maintenance or H&S issues
