We're looking for a Multi‑Skilled Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Bias) who will undertake planned and reactive mechanical maintenance works, operating within a shift team to ensure continuous service delivery.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance across a wide range of building services plant and equipment.
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and complete corrective works efficiently and safely.
- Monitor, record, and report plant performance, defects, and maintenance activities using the CAFM system.
- Work collaboratively within a shift team to meet client SLAs and KPIs while maintaining high professional standards.
- Ensure all works are completed in compliance with Mitie Engineering Services policies, health & safety requirements, and safe systems of work.
Required Qualifications:
- Recognised mechanical apprenticeship with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of three years post‑apprenticeship experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of building services systems including HVAC, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, and heating systems.
- Proven experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial or critical environments.
