We're proud to have the UK's largest team of trained engineers and are always on the look out for new people to join us!

We're looking for a Fabric Engineer to provide delivery of facilities support services across our client sites. Approx 85% of the role is based at a static site in Manston, with the remaining 15% supporting other sites in Kent. A company vehicle will therefore be available to the successful applicant where required.

The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned and remedial works on time, while strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Undertaking all building fabric activities, such as patch repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting and decorating.
  • Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders via a mobile working app and CAFM.
  • Ensuring you are working to high levels of health and safety and statutory requirements.
  • Required to answer queries, report any defects and keep the client informed of site activities at the time of the service visit.
  • To take part in a call out Rota.
  • Whilst there is a bias for the fabric/handyperson skill set, you will work as part of a team so other duties are necessary, to support the delivery of PPM, Reactive and Remedial work orders.
What we're looking for
  • Full, current driving license.
  • Background in facilities or mobile maintenance.
  • Qualified to Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds.
What we offer you
  • Access to Mitie's “Choices” platform for lifestyle perks, including buying extra holidays, dental cover, and tech purchases; plus MiDeals discounts, cycle-to-work scheme, salary sacrifice car scheme, and virtual GP services.
  • Structured development pathways, Mitie Stars recognition scheme (with monthly and annual cash prizes), and potential to earn free shares through the Mitie Matching Share Plan.
  • Call out retention payment.
  • Access to a company vehicle.
