Better places, thriving communities. We are looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor focusing on the water industry. You will be responsible for carrying out legionella risk assessments manually and electronically, ensuring that risk assessment paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned, and carrying out other operational work from time to time to ensure contractual commitments are met.

You will also undertake legionella risk assessments in accordance with:

  • Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition)
  • Technical guidance documents of HSG
  • British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS-1
  • Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises

The ideal candidate will need a qualification in a City and Guilds Risk Assessing course (or equivalent) and experience in Legionella risk assessing. A wide knowledge of the above risk assessment guidelines as well as sufficient experience in working in the water treatment industry and a strong knowledge of health and safety is required.

You will be commercially aware, have good planning skills, strong IT literacy, the ability to use a PDA to evidence compliance and productivity, and be able to draw schematic diagrams. You will need to have a full UK drivers' licence with less than 6 points and be able to work as part of a team and under your own supervision.
