Responsibilities
- As a Subject Matter Expert for the mail services delivered, promote best practice, and deliver the contracted requirement to the appropriate quality standard and the agreed service levels, including the completion of internal checks, compliance auditing, and control of postage.
- Line manage and promote the development and optimum performance of the delivery team, taking appropriate and timely action to mitigate risk and the potential for service failure across all service areas.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to meet the emerging demands of the business within contractual boundaries.
- Ensure security checks and emergency actions are practiced and understood by staff.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations.
- Capture and report statistical data.
- Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including leading on change to meet the emerging needs of the business.

- Basic IT literacy.
- Ability to drive a mail van.
- Physically fit enough to lift and move mail, including sacks and parcels (Essential).
- Full/CatB driving licence (Essential).
Additional Information
- MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required.
- To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application.
- All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
- Proof of right to work in UK essential.
- Required to wear approved company work wear.
