We're looking for a dedicated Night Advisor to provide health, safety and environmental support during night-time operations.
Working closely with operational teams, you'll help ensure works are completed safely, compliantly and in line with Mitie, client and statutory requirements whilst promoting a positive safety culture across all night-shift activities.
- Role Responsibilities
- Provide on-site HSE advisory support to night-shift operational teams, ensuring compliance with approved RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
- Conduct safety inspections, task observations and assurance activities, identifying risks and intervening where unsafe acts or conditions are observed.
- Support the response to incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring accurate reporting and assisting with investigations where required
- Act as the primary HSE point of contact for night-shift personnel, providing guidance, support and effective communication across teams.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching and visible leadership, whilst supporting emergency response and business continuity arrangements
- Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below-defined requirements for the role
- Experience working within operational, construction, infrastructure or other high-risk environments.
- Sound understanding of risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), permits to work and task-based risk controls.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours and influence positive safety performance.
- Full UK Driving License Holder
What We're Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification (desirable).
- Experience of night-shift working within a safety-critical environment.
- Strong observation and intervention skills, with the confidence to identify and address unsafe behaviours.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and make sound decisions within defined levels of authority.
- IT literacy and experience using reporting and incident management systems.
