We are recruiting for a standout opportunity for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to take full ownership of engineering services at a high-profile, multi-floor corporate headquarters in London Bridge.

This is a senior leadership role where you'll lead from the front—driving performance, establishing credibility, and shaping the future of engineering delivery on a flagship site.

The Role

As Engineering Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all building engineering and property maintenance operations, ensuring exceptional service standards in a prestige environment.

  • Lead and manage a multi-skilled on-site engineering team (including engineers, fabric staff, and an apprentice) operating across a 7-day rota
  • Take full ownership of engineering operations, service delivery, and performance on site
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations
  • Drive KPI performance, WIP control, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as the key operational interface with the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Lead on health & safety, risk management, and incident response across all engineering activities
  • Manage budgets, costs, and commercial controls, ensuring transparency and efficiency

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident, experienced leader who can step in and make an immediate impact:

Essential:

  • Proven experience managing engineering or building operations in a complex commercial or corporate environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing technical teams
  • Solid understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance, compliance, and H&S
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing capability
  • Engineering background (HV knowledge highly advantageous)
  • Track record of delivering KPIs and improving performance

Desirable:

  • Experience within integrated FM or contracted services environments
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and asset management tools
  • Relevant engineering or facilities management qualifications
