Logistics Security Officer
Pay rate: Β£12.60ph
Shifts: Night shifts, 12 hours, 4 on / 4 off rota β (to be discussed at interview)
Overview
Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.
It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)
Vetting
It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.
Main duties
- To deliver industry leading customer service
- To conduct patrols of the depot
- To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
- Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
- Liaise with the depot management teams
- To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
- To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
- To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
- To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
- Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
- Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
- Must have reasonable level of PC skills
