Mitie is seeking a professional and motivated Security Officer to join our team at Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy retail environment where you will play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional level of service. You will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, ensuring compliance with site procedures, and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for customers, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional security service in accordance with site Assignment Instructions (AIs)
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, Mitie policies, and site procedures
- Review Assignment Instructions regularly and suggest improvements where appropriate
- Complete accurate incident reports and detailed notebook entries
- Conduct check calls at allocated times and follow site schedules
- Liaise with emergency services and Mitie's Communication Centre when required
- Identify and report Health and Safety hazards promptly
- Remain alert to potential threats and respond appropriately
- Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Use initiative and teamwork to prevent loss, damage, or disruption
- Complete all mandatory training and site-specific competencies
- Undertake additional training to support continuous professional development
- Use technology effectively to meet operational objectives
- Ensure SIA licence renewals are completed at least 16 weeks before expiry
