Job objectives and responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the collation, review, and allocation of training for both operational and non‑operational staff, ensuring compliance with contractual, MOJ, company and legislative requirements.
  • Record, review, assign and respond to all training in a timely manner, and process and disseminate relevant information accurately within deadlines.
  • Provide support and advice to staff and local managers to ensure quality standards are met in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Support the development and production of the training performance report, ensuring all key information is accurately recorded and reported to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a climate of innovation and continuous improvement, focusing on meeting contractual requirements, adding value and delivering best practices.
  • Promote commitment and compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards, ensuring they are embedded across the contract.
  • Assist stakeholders and respond constructively to questions and action points from the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB), His Majesty's Inspector of Prisons (HMIP) and the MOJ Contract Monitoring Team, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in performance reviews and internal/external inspections.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a clear communicator with high‑standard verbal and written English.
  • Intermediate to expert IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Previous experience working in a prison or secure environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in a customer‑service role or similar is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is also desirable.
