The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the hygiene team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all cleaning tasks are carried out to the required standards and completed within agreed timeframes. They will support the team in following site hygiene schedules, Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role includes assisting with the delivery of hygiene training for operatives, overseeing CIC sign-offs, and carrying out refresher training when required.
The Team Leader will help monitor hygiene standards across high-risk and low-risk areas, participate in internal audits, and support the implementation of corrective actions where needed. They will also contribute to maintaining accurate hygiene records and assist in preparing the site for customer and regulatory audits, such as BRC and M&S. The role involves working collaboratively with production, technical, and health & safety teams to ensure consistent standards and the application of hygiene best practices across the site. Promoting a strong hygiene culture and contributing to continuous improvement activities will be an important part of the position.
