Mitie Care & Custody (C&C) is developing a restorative culture at HMP Millsike. This new role supports that vision by applying behaviour‑analysis principles to reduce challenging behaviours, support skill development and facilitate reintegration for prisoners.
Responsibilities
- Identify measurable goals and implement evidence‑based interventions for prisoners and staff.
- Analyse functional behaviour to reduce disruptive, violent or self‑harmful incidents.
- Collaborate with the psychology team to inform and support operational staff in managing complex behaviours.
- Co‑create care plans, train and upskill staff and enable implementation of those plans.
Qualifications
- Registered and certified with a recognised professional body (UK‑SBA or BCBA).
- MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Behaviour Analysis and Therapy.
- Completion of UK‑SBA Supervision and Competence Standards preferred.
- CPD required to maintain certification throughout employment.
Experience
- Relevant experience working in a custodial, secure or challenging‑behaviour environment is required.
- Experience developing support plans to encourage positive behaviour within multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
