The role will require that you can work as part of a Team of Hosts who are responsible for maintaining all of the Internal areas to the high standards expected. Close co-operation with others is essential when working within the Department as is the capacity to work responsibly as an individual to complete given tasks. Your daily and weekly tasks are assigned to ensure that the Department meets its scheduled requirements and Client expectations. You will be the visible face of Bluewater thus you are expected to provide all our Guests with the very best level of service ensuring an enjoyable and memorable visit to Bluewater.
Main Duties
- To ensure that Bluewater is safe, secure, clean and tidy at all times
- To be the professional representative of Bluewater at all times
- To achieve high levels of customer satisfaction across all areas of our service to customers at Bluewater
- To achieve continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of our services and in customer satisfaction
- To assist in assessing the success of the development and to help improve our strategy for future schemes
- To comply with Health & Safety at work regulations, fire regulations, and safe working practices
- To comply with our Quality and Environmental Policy and Procedures
- To provide a proactive service that delivers a positive Guest experience
- To add the ‘wow' factor by delivering a service that goes the extra mile

Staff working in the Wintergarden
- Collection, cleaning, and delivery of trays in the food court
- Cleaning tables, chairs, and any other furniture in the Wintergarden
- Sweeping and cleaning floors to ensure they remain free of food and other waste
- Ensure that the service point remains clean and clear of obstacles
- Attending to reactive jobs such as spillages
- Emptying bins - refuse collection and disposal
Staff working on Malls
- Ensure that the malls and public areas of Bluewater are kept free of waste at all times
- Clean tables, chairs, and any other furniture in the common areas as per the schedule
- Sweep and mop welcome halls and malls
- Clean the rails and plinths in the malls
- Attending to reactive jobs such as spillages
- Emptying bins - refuse collection and disposal
- Vacuum all carpeted areas of Bluewater using the assigned equipment
- Deep cleaning of common areas including halls, malls, and toilets (as required)
- Cleaning office areas (as required)
Staff working in Toilet areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the toilet and family rooms at all times
- Clean sink & mirror areas throughout the day
- Replenish soap and toilet rolls as and when required
- Clean in and around toilets and urinals
- Clean floor, ledges, edges, walls and doors as needed throughout the day
- Empty bins within the toilets
All staff
- Report all accidents/incidents and near misses to the Help Desk
- Report all building/fabric defects or hazards to the Help Desk
- Periodically carry out deep cleaning as requested by your manager
- Attend to any reactive jobs within and/or outside of your work area as assigned to you by your Team Leader
