We're looking for a commercially astute Legal Counsel to join our team supporting Mitie's growing Power & Grid division . This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-value projects that support critical infrastructure across the UK, partnering closely with operational, commercial and leadership teams to provide pragmatic legal advice and help drive business success. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and project agreements Advising on construction, engineering and infrastructure projects, including NEC contracts Providing clear, risk-based legal advice on operational, procurement and commercial matters Supporting stakeholders with compliance, governance and contractual risk management Developing legal processes, contract templates and governance frameworks to drive continuous improvement Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) & relevant experience gained in private practice or an in-house environment Strong experience in construction, engineering or projects law, ideally within the Power, Energy or Utilities sector Working knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery frameworks Excellent commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills The ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and confidently to non-legal stakeholders Flexible and hybrid working arrangements Exposure to major infrastructure, energy and grid projects across the UK A supportive, collaborative and experienced legal team Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities
