Job objectives and responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the day-to-day shift teams.
- Ensuring all planned, corrective and reactive tasks are completed on time.
- Supporting root cause analysis and CAPAs for technical activities.
Main duties
- Daily attendance at the 0900 / 1630 team activity call.
- Attendance at GSK morning TAP.
- Assigning duties to technicians during shifts.
- Day-to-day lead of shift team including conduct, performance and capability.
- Taking necessary and appropriate actions to address any inappropriate behaviour or low standards.
- Hold regular shift team meetings on daily and weekly objectives.
- Providing direction and feedback to technicians during shifts.
- Effective handover with the other shift lead role.
- Participate in work activities, leading by demonstration, and showing them how to do the job effectively where required.
- Assist in training and coaching new employees.
- Providing customer service and managing complaints.
- Prompt and correct documentation of incidents.
- Ensure that communications are maintained between the technical supervisors.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
Information Security
- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
- Report actual and suspected security incidents.
