ROLE: Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer SALARY: £47,000 – £50,000 per annum + 10% shift allowance LOCATION: Central London HOURS: 42 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off | Predominantly nights

We're looking for an Inspection & Testing Electrical Engineer who will deliver Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Fixed Wire Inspection & Testing across our client sites in Central London.

This role is vital in ensuring electrical safety, compliance, and operational excellence across complex commercial and industrial environments.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations
  • Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671
  • Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems
  • Correctly code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications while maintaining clear and auditable testing records, schedules, and certification
  • Work in strict compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures
  • Required Qualifications
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
  • City & Guilds 2391‑52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
  • Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing
  • Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance
  • UK passport holder
  • Clear 10‑year UK footprint
