We are looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor focusing on the water industry. You will be responsible for carrying out legionella risk assessments manually and electronically, ensuring that risk assessment paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned. You will also carry out other operational work from time to time to ensure contractual commitments are met.

You will undertake legionella risk assessments in accordance with:

  • Legionella Risk Assessment Guidelines
  • Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition)
  • Technical guidance documents of HSG274
  • British Standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019
  • Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualification in a City and Guilds Risk Assessing course (or equivalent) and experience in Legionella risk assessing.
  • A wide knowledge of the above risk assessment guidelines as well as sufficient experience in working in the water treatment industry and a strong knowledge of health and safety.
  • Commercially aware with good planning skills.
  • Strong IT literacy, ability to use a PDA to evidence compliance and productivity, and be able to draw schematic diagrams.
  • Have a full UK drivers' licence with less than 6 points.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under your own supervision.
