In collaboration with the Police, you will serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. The role requires flexibility to work not only in your base custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
Requirements- Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant clinical setting (e.g., Accident & Emergency, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service)
- Valid driving licence
- RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration – 2 years post‑qualification (Band 5 minimum)
- Paramedic – 2 years post‑qualification
- Right to work in the UK: British passport or ILR for 3 years, no gaps out of country longer than 3 months
- All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
Part time – fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and 18:45 to 07:00 for night shifts, in a rota pattern of 2 days on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance. All employees work full shifts; part‑time employees may still need to carry out some night shifts.
Remuneration & Benefits- Salary: £20,500 per year
- £500 bonus upon completion of 12 months service
- Average estimated overtime: £3,500 per annum
- NMC/HCPC registration paid
