The UK's transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy network is driving unprecedented investment in electricity infrastructure. At Mitie Power & Grid, we're delivering major projects that will help power the future of the UK, including grid connections, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, cable infrastructure and network reinforcement works.

We're looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Custom Solar team and support the successful delivery of commercial and industrial solar PV and BESS projects across the UK. Whether your experience comes from power, utilities, civil engineering, rail, highways, water, M&E or the wider construction sector, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial career in a business operating at the front‑line of the energy transition. Working within a hybrid environment, you'll be part of a collaborative team supporting project delivery from pre‑construction through to final account, gaining exposure to complex projects, experienced commercial professionals and major UK infrastructure programmes.

  • Conduct site visits and support client meetings alongside the Commercial Manager.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure work is carried out in line with internal processes and governance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
  • 3+ years' experience working at Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Excellent understanding of Contract Law, with NEC suite experience preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness.
  • Willingness to undertake site visits.
  • Full UK driving licence.

What's in it for you?

  • Opportunity to join one of the UK's leading specialist Solar PV developers.
  • A supportive environment focused on commercial development and progression.
