The A/C Maintenance Engineer at Mitie is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards.
Role Responsibilities:
- -Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites
- -Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards
- -Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
- -Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery
- -Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance
- -Work in line with health and safety procedures
- -Liaise effectively with clients, customers, and contractors
- -Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team as needed
Required Qualifications:
- -Strong technical background including a Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems
- -F-gas Category 1 certification
- -Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
- -Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
- -Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
- -Ability to assess and report on equipment condition
- -Proactive approach to both independent and team-based work
