We\’re looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Job Title: Catering Assistant
Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour on weekdays, £13.21 on weekend
Position Type: Permanent
Type of Employment: Part Time
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Saturday-Monday (10:30-6:30pm)
Location: CHP-Finchley Memorial Hospital, Granville Road, London, England, N12 0JE

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
• Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
• Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
• Take menus from patients.
• Plate food to be served to patients.
• Follow a cleaning schedule.
• Assist the cook in the kitchen with food prep.
• Communicate effectively with patients, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

What We\’re Looking For

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
• Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
• Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
• Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
