We're looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join our experienced and versatile team at Abbey Wood, supporting the delivery of first-class services to our MOD and Armed Forces personnel.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead as the Subject Matter Expert across assigned stores areas, including general stores, forward delivery, receipt and despatch, ensuring best practice and service standards are maintained.
- Supervise and support a small delivery team, helping to optimise performance, reduce risk and maintain consistent service delivery.
- Manage stock levels, housekeeping standards and compliance checks to ensure stored items remain accurate, available and well controlled.
- Oversee the safe unloading of deliveries, checking goods against invoices, identifying discrepancies, replenishing stock and updating records accurately.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders while promoting customer service excellence, a safe working culture and compliance with Health and Safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience working within a warehouse, stores or logistics environment.
- Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience delivering high-quality customer-facing services, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Good standard of education, preferably including English and Mathematics.
- Knowledge of MOD MJDI stores accounting applications, a full UK driving licence and/or a forklift licence would be desirable, although training can be provided where appropriate.
