We are looking for an experienced engineer to join the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls, and small works in the fire and security systems industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and small works.
  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and associated equipment to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
  • Participate proactively in any company-initiated training to keep knowledge up to date.
  • Work to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements and apply fault-finding techniques during inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced engineer with a background in the fire & security systems industry.
  • Proven experience in carrying out PPM, reactive calls, and small works.
  • Service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS.
