Mitie Controls provides BMS services and solutions across the UK, delivering operation & maintenance for existing installations and BMS upgrades/new installations to meet client needs, with a focus on comfortable environments, efficient asset performance and reducing energy usage.

Responsibilities

  • Own the business development lifecycle with Mitie clients, securing and exceeding sales targets for new BMS and Plan Zero works.
  • Influence the growth of the operation by managing key clients and delivering Plan Zero strategies, building a strong pipeline of BMS and Net Zero opportunities.
  • Act as a conduit between client and operation delivery teams to ensure projects are designed accurately and to high standards for secure, profitable delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing investment in BMS and Plan Zero pathways.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies and metering solutions to drive digital maintenance initiatives.
  • Interact with Mitie contract leads, end clients and cross-functional teams to deliver joined-up solutions for Net Zero pathways.
  • Support tenders and tender submissions, articulating proposed solutions professionally to gain trust as a valued supplier.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operation to deliver growth strategies with improved margins and profitability.
  • Provide technical solutions, detailed proposals and accurate costings for BMS and energy-related projects; manage Salesforce opportunities and provide sales forecasts.
  • Offer technical support for new solutions that showcase integration opportunities.

Experience & Skills

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of BMS, ideally Trend, Tridium, Distech and Priva.
  • Experience in a Sales and Business Development role or from a technical engineering background with a drive to succeed in this area.
  • Commercially aware with good business judgement and the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Customer-focused with a solutions mindset; motivated and committed to high standards of client delivery.
  • Willing to learn and strive to be the best in the role; strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of Modbus and BACnet integration; ability to create optimized strategies from scratch.
  • Team player with enthusiasm for collaborative success and proven ability to deliver with integrity.
