3 shift system – Morning – 6am-2pm (Mon-Friday), Afternoon 2pm – 10pm (Monday to Thurs then Friday 10am – 6pm), Nights 10pm-6am (Monday till Friday morning 6am).
We are looking for an experienced Shift Electrical Bias to work with a range of Mitie clients to conduct work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines and to provide a reactive and pro-active maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment.
You will be responsible for carrying out modifications and installations when required, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimize both reliability and maintainability. You will provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required. You will also need to complete any required paperwork, produce reports accurately and on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities- Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
- Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
- Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures—no live working permitted.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks.
- Qualified to BS (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and eager to learn.
- Respectful, professional, and confident in raising safety concerns.
