Reporting to the Bid Writing Lead within our Immigration and Justice sector, the Bid Writer will produce professionally written proposal content that articulates Mitie's value proposition, win themes and solutions to our customers. The Bid Writer will be responsible for writing, re-writing and editing bid and proposal content from a variety of stakeholders, and will be key to ensuring the effective coordination and timely completion of bids. This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
Main Duties:
- Work closely and collaboratively with all bid stakeholders, and primarily the sales lead and sales team, to ensure that the bid/proposal is a compelling part of the sales campaign for each customer.
- Re-write and edit bid responses from all bid stakeholders as required.
- Generate new bid content based on research, engagement across the business and use of company information.
- Ensure win themes are well articulated throughout the tender, to meet customer requirements.
- Deliver completed responses to the Bid Manager against agreed deadlines.
- Assist in analysing the RFP/bid requirements against the proposal outline to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the customer's issues and needs.
- Participate in bid kick-off meetings involving stakeholders from across the organisation.
- Schedule and lead storyboarding and capture planning sessions for relevant tender opportunities.
- Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts across Mitie.
- Conduct peer reviews to make sure bids are appropriately compelling and commercially attractive.
- Support with production of content for presentations relating to bid opportunities.
