The position of Mobile Area Supervisor will support the business by ensuring the effective delivery of security operations across multiple sites. You will conduct regular mobile patrols at your designated sites, respond promptly to incidents and ensure they are logged and accurately documented. You will be a visible presence to deter potential threats, addressing security risks and suspicious activity and you will always carry out your role with sensitivity and respect towards cultural and religious practices.
Main Duties
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Account lead and in accordance with UK Law, Guidance bodies (SIA).
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties as defined by role specifications.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Ability to induct and train staff.
- Ensure site officers are trained and compliant, testing knowledge and ability.
- Ensure patrols are carried out as stipulated within the AI's.
- Complete site visits as required.
- Support sites with investigations and reports.
- Escalate incidents/issues where required.
- Site compliance audits.
- Complete daily logs and reports, vehicle inspections.
Training
- Complete all required competency training, MITIE and TMC training as and when required.
- To undertake additional training as directed by the Line Manager.
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- A full driving licence (vehicle will be provided).
- Strong experience within the security industry.
- SIA license.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good report writing skills.
- Ability to learn various Mitie systems and implement that knowledge and training.
- Ability to maintain a friendly approach to staff but maintain a managerial outlook.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
- You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Flexibility to travel outside of your designated area on an Adhoc basis, responding to critical areas, as the business requires.
Security and Health & Safety
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations.
- Complete an accurate, detailed report as soon as possible after any incident.
- Ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
What we are Looking For
- Previous Security Experience as a Lead Security officer, Team Leader, Supervisor level or site management is desirable.
- SIA License – Front line SG/DS/CP, CCTV desirable.
- EDBS required or the ability to obtain EDBS, this is a requirement for the position.
- Good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English.
- Be computer and software literate.
- Reliability, self‑motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision.
- The ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise.
- The ability to transfer self‑motivation to staff.
- The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
- Self‑confidence and an interest in self‑development.
