At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for an Asbestos Consultant who will carry out specialist asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of property types.
Role Responsibilities:- Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures.
- Carry out additional duties including collecting site data, transport of asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company, and completing asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software.
- Conduct air monitoring and 4‑stage clearance procedures in line with HSG248 and our UKAS‑accredited procedures.
- Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support when required.
- Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality, Contracts, Projects Managers and Supervisor as and when required, and liaise with clients where necessary.
- Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
- BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent).
- BOHS P403/P404 qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Minimal overnight stays and localised work wherever possible.
- Clear career progression - structured pathways to Senior Surveyor, Project Management and Auditing roles.
