We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager – Lighting to join our Energy & Decarbonisation Projects Team.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager – Lighting, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality lighting and energy-saving solutions. This is a commercially driven role for someone passionate about building strong client relationships, winning new business, and helping customers progress toward Net Zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead opportunities from initial engagement through to project completion.
- Identify and develop lighting and energy-saving opportunities within existing and new contracts.
- Manage client negotiations, presentations, and bid submissions (PQQs, ITTs).
- Oversee site surveys, develop technical proposals, and ensure compliant tender submissions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce) and drive quality throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth project delivery and exceptional client experience.
- Stay up to date with lighting technologies and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the lighting industry.
- Strong knowledge of lighting services, products, and energy-saving solutions.
- Familiarity with lighting design tools (e.g., DIALux, AutoCAD, Visual).
- Experience with turnkey installations, lighting controls, or smart lighting (desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, strategic, and results-driven mindset.
