We are seeking an experienced Electrician to undertake all aspects of electrical and LED lighting installations, including minor works, testing, and inspection where applicable. The role involves delivering lighting and electrical projects across retail, industrial, commercial, and government sectors, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out LED lighting and electrical installations to the required standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Lighting Project Team, subcontractors, and Project Manager to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.
- Work from electrical drawings, including installation, circuit, and schematic diagrams.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification with minimal rework.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and adhere to all site safety protocols.
- Accurately complete all work-related documentation (reports, timesheets, inspection records, etc.).
- Take responsibility for the company vehicle, tools, and materials.
- Work nights and away from home as required (majority of work occurs outside of normal working hours, Monday to Friday).
- Undertake additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Fully qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- 2383-18 18th Edition Update certification.
- 2391-52 Test & Inspection β desirable (training available if required).
- SSSTS accreditation β desirable (training available if required).
- Knowledge of EV charging units β desirable (training available if required).
- IPAF and/or PASMA certifications β desirable (training available if required).
- Ability to work at heights (up to 3 metres) and lift weights up to 25kg.
- Must be able to work nights and travel/stay away from home.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
