Overview
In this role, you lead fire damper, fire stopping and passive fire protection works across the region, ensuring compliance, safety and operational excellence. You will inspect, install and supervise works while maintaining documentation and liaising with clients and compliance teams. Your efforts support FIRAS-certified installations and high safety standards. This position offers training and career development within a large, resilient services business.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and test fire dampers to BS 9999; install access doors to ventilation systems (DW144/145)
- Lead and supervise passive fire protection installation and repair in line with FIRAS certification
- Install fire protection components (fire batts, sealants, collars, wraps, joints, boards, seals) per system details (EI60 / EI120)
- Maintain tools, equipment and materials; ensure material traceability
- Produce reports and maintain compliance documentation; audit-ready installation records and photos
- Label and identify fire stopping works per certification schemes
- Liaise with clients, site management and compliance teams
- Ensure certified, compliant fire stopping works across the region
- Complete and review installation documentation for audits
- Manage site supervision to ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance
Key requirements
- Experience in fire damper inspection and testing to BS 9999
- Knowledge of ventilation system management (TR19)
- Experience installing access doors (DW144/145)
- Competence in ductwork modifications for fire damper installation
- Understanding of UK fire safety legislation and compartmentation principles
- Experience working within FIRAS or similar certification schemes
- Strong knowledge of the Fire Safety Order 2005 and Approved Document B
- Desirable: Valid CSCS/CITB Card, NVQ Level in Fire Protection/Ductwork/Construction, IPAF/PASMA
- Valid UK Driving Licence
