In this role you will deliver a broad range of fabric, mechanical and electrical maintenance across client sites in the South East. You’ll work closely with site teams to ensure reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance is completed safely and to high standards. The position blends hands-on maintenance with safety and reporting duties, within a supportive engineering team. Responsibilities
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services equipment (boilers, pumps, compressors, sanitary ware, FCUs, AHUs, BMS)
- Inspect and maintain electrical building services (lighting, small power, distribution, controls)
- Support safe operation and maintenance under Permit to Work, risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work
- Participate in shift patterns, on-call rotas, and out-of-hours work
- Use CAFM systems on handheld devices to record work, monitor subcontractors, and support reporting
Key requirements
- Proven building maintenance experience with strong health and safety understanding
- Knowledge of statutory compliance in building services
- Ability to write and follow risk assessments and method statements
- Strong customer service and communication skills and ability to work in a team
