We're looking for a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of projects across our Cornwall Schools contract, supporting the maintenance, improvement and refurbishment of educational facilities while ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning environments.
Role Responsibilities: Manage multiple projects across school sites from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements, whilst monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions where required.
Build strong relationships with school leadership teams, local authority representatives, client stakeholders and internal teams, acting as the primary point of contact throughout project lifecycles.
Coordinate internal engineering teams and specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Mitie standards, safeguarding requirements and statutory regulations. Conduct inspections, quality audits, risk assessments and project handovers while promoting a strong health and safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
Proven experience managing projects within facilities management, construction, engineering or building maintenance environments. Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, risk management and stakeholder coordination. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and safe systems of work. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification is desirable, along with experience within educational environments, FM or public sector contracts.
