b Overview /b p You will lead on-site IFM and engineering operations at a data centre, ensuring safe, compliant and resilient plant performance. You’ll manage local teams and partners, implement governance, and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. This role offers hands-on leadership in a high‑availability environment and the chance to shape estate-wide standards at the site level. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead day-to-day IFM and engineering operations at the data centre, applying governance and standards /li li Control local HV/LV electrical systems, mechanical infrastructure, UPS, standby generation, cooling, BMS, EPMS, fire systems through teams and partners /li li Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client standards and company procedures /li li Plan and verify preventive, predictive, condition-based and corrective maintenance; manage defects and risks /li li Exercise stop-work authority for unacceptable risk and escalate issues promptly /li li Maintain operational readiness to support critical services and agreed availability /li li Manage change planning, outages, dependencies and readiness /li li Lead initial incident response, stabilize operations and provide updates to stakeholders /li li Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions /li li Maintain site emergency response and business continuity arrangements /li li Maintain regulatory compliance and control permits, risk assessments and safe work /li li Ensure personnel and contractors hold required competencies and authorisations /li li Perform site inspections, audits, and close findings timely /li li Maintain asset, performance and compliance records; evidence and dashboards /li li Coordinate asset lifecycle and technology management; use CAFM, BMS and EPMS for monitoring /li li Coordinate soft services delivery (cleaning, waste, reception, landscape, workplace support) /li li Control site budgets and supplier performance; ensure safety and engineering integrity in KPIs /li li Act as principal IFM contact for client representatives; provide clear performance and incident reporting /li li Provide leadership and development for the on-site IFM team; maintain competence and coverage /li li Foster culture of safety, discipline, accountability and continuous improvement /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Substantial operational experience in data centres or high-availability facilities /li li Practical knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems, maintenance delivery, permit-to-work and change control /li li Experience supervising multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors /li li Experience supporting audits, compliance inspections and incident investigations /li li Knowledge of incident response and escalation processes /li li Experience with safety, risk assessment and reporting in critical environments /li li Strong communication and stakeholder management skills /li li Authorised Persons experience or equivalent site authorisation desirable /li li Professional registration or active progression desirable /li li On-call or escalation flexibility and ability to work across multiple sites /li li Experience in using performance and asset data to drive decisions /li /ul ul li leadership and people management /li li clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences /li li problem solving under pressure /li li HV/LV electrical systems /li li mechanical infrastructure and equipment /li li UPS and standby generation /li /ul
