Head of Emergency Response / Fire & Rescue Station Manager, for BMW based in Oxford.

Main Duties:

  • To manage multiple response teams, ensuring staff are fully trained and compliant in their role. This includes elements such as BA, First Aid and dealing with a range of hazardous materials.
  • A continual review of response training aligned with National Operational Guidance and NFCC.
  • Ongoing review of PdrPro, ensuring all staff training is in date.
  • Creation of lesson plans and drill programmes.
  • Training new response staff and developing existing staff.
  • Ensure employees' fitness standards are tested and maintained.
  • Management of the clients' response related equipment.

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced Watch Manager or Station Manager with a strong background in Fire and Rescue.
  • Must be able to cover operational duties from time to time and be physically fit.
  • Self-motivated and resilient with a passion for moving the service we provide forward through training and development.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the suite of software packages available, including Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating our values and acting as a role model to their teams.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and the ability to use personal impact to support organisational change.
  • Essential in developing ways of working that enhance our ability to respond to the needs of the contract.
