Reference: ROLE: Billing Transition ManagerHOURS: 40 hours a weekLOCATION: Manchester, Birmingham, Northampton, GloucesterAt Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day.We're looking for a Billing Transition Manager who will be accountable for ensuring the seamless transition of billing processes while protecting revenue, improving operational efficiency, and supporting successful customer outcomes.As Marlowe Environmental Services Ltd (MES) and Mitie plc continue their business transformation journey, the Billing Transition Manager will be responsible for two important workstreams. Firstly, leading the end-to-end billing process across multiple entities, overseeing billing operations and supporting cash flow through effective billing practices.Role Responsibilities:Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and raised in accordance with agreed customer terms, pricing schedules, and service delivery data.Manage and support the billing team, setting priorities, monitoring workloads, and developing capability through coaching and training.Work closely with operations, sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and reduce billing delays.Monitor billing deadlines and month-end requirements to ensure timely reporting and support revenue recognition and forecasting processes.Investigate recurring invoicing issues, identify root causes, and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.Ensure billing user acceptance testing (UAT) is completed in line with business expectations.Ensure billing completeness and accuracy throughout migration and stabilisation periods, identifying and mitigating revenue leakage risks during transition activities.Required Qualifications:Extensive experience in a billing or order-to-cash role.Proven people management skills, with the ability to lead people through change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience managing or working in a billing migration project, system implementation, or finance transformation project.What's in it for you?High street discounts from thousands of well-known retailers, gyms and more via our MiDeals platform.Life cover of up to four times your salary.Enhanced pension contributions, a save-as-you-earn scheme, and a Mitie Matching Share Plan (with the potential for free shares).Ref: Posaddress2Wythenshawe Location:Manchester Employment:Full time Role Classification:2
