Overview

In this role you will lead technical infrastructure delivery, driving asset management, compliance, and engineering support. You will develop standards, monitor compliance, and promote technical excellence across engineering services. You will own audits, stakeholder liaison, and the technical competency framework while shaping long‑term asset planning. This position offers a chance to influence client estates, ensure regulatory adherence, and contribute to continuous improvement. You will work closely with QHSE, Asset Management, and Compliance teams to deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and embed technical standards and compliance controls across the business
  • Manage a compliance audit framework and monitor statutory/mandatory compliance for client estates
  • Provide technical engineering leadership for competency, training, and registrations (HV, LV, etc.)
  • Represent the business as a technical engineering expert to support asset management, incident investigations, and external bodies
  • Own the asset audit system, ensuring accurate asset data and condition status
  • Provide guidance on asset management processes to operations and ensure asset processes link to the operational framework
  • Produce forward planning and a 10-year capital plan for the property portfolio
  • Take full P&L responsibility for the hard services budget
  • Lead engineering skills development and support apprenticeship/development programmes
  • Monitor regulatory changes and forecast impacts, liaising with external bodies as needed
  • Maintain audit readiness culture and drive corrective actions across properties

Key requirements

  • Experience in technical infrastructure, asset management, and compliance within facilities/engineering services
  • Ability to lead competency development, training, and professional registrations
  • Knowledge of statutory/mandatory requirements and regulatory changes
  • Strong stakeholder liaison skills with client representatives and external bodies
  • Proven ability to manage audits, asset data accuracy, and capital planning
  • P&L responsibility or financial oversight for hard services
