Job Objectives and Responsibilities

  • To ensure all site and the assets within are as secure as possible at all times.
  • To ensure that Mitie continually and consistently provide a robust security solution both from Security Officers on site and with provided electronic security systems.
  • To be responsible for the day to day supervision and performance of the service team to Lloyds.
  • To measure performance and make appropriate and agreed changes for improvement.
  • To drive excellence in all areas of Mitie Security Services.
  • Understanding client needs and working collaboratively with the client to understand and mitigate risks, improve added value to service offering and deliver efficiencies.
  • Works collaboratively with all stakeholders to review and implement relevant operational processes for the business.
  • Ensure all processes and policies are correctly applied and adhered to at all times.
  • Undertake monthly audits of processes to ensure compliance.
  • Undertake regular tests of processes to ensure robust application.
  • Ensure all officers at all locations are correctly trained for required duties.
  • Work with operational management teams to ensure that all shifts are covered with correctly trained officers.
  • Undertake meetings and conference calls with client when required.
  • Timely completion and submission of monthly reports.
  • Creating reports as required and ensuring online/shared reports are kept up to date.

Main Duties

  • To have a thorough knowledge of routine and emergency procedures and be able to respond efficiently and appropriately to any eventuality.
  • To provide the highest level of customer service, ensuring that all persons either visiting or working at the site are treated courteously and professionally at all times.
  • Effectively oversee all tasks, in-line with SOPs.
  • To respond and manage all incidents and follow escalation procedures.
  • Support the Security Control Room operation, email account inbox, CCTV and telephones at all times, responding promptly and appropriately to requests and duties.
  • Overseeing the management of site Access Control System, including oversight of alarm response, adding of access to passes, issuing of new staff passes and responsibility for termination and deletion of Security access passes.
  • Provide the highest standards of written reports.
  • To support the administration, issue and return of all keys, body worn cameras, and radio communication equipment.
  • Comply with Mitie policies and procedures advising the Operations Manager on any failures to comply and ensure the correct action is taken to resolve such issues.
  • To act as an ambassador to the client organisation ensuring that their business is represented in the highest manner in all the duties undertaken by you, and by the security team.
  • Carry out post visits.
  • A valid frontline and SIA CCTV license is essential.
  • Demonstrable competence in the detection of dishonesty/criminal activity.
  • Ability to provide support in a constructive way in a challenging environment.
  • Effective team player but must also be capable of working unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving security environment.
  • Strong capability in the use of CCTV technology.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.

Person Specification

  • Able to gain and to maintain an SIA licence.
  • Willing to undergo a 5 year employment check and able to account for a full 5 year history, providing evidence of all employment, unemployment, training etc during this period in line with strict vetting criteria.
  • Able to provide I.D documentation proving identity, right to work and all previous and current addresses in line with strict vetting criteria.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be courteous and professional at all times, taking pride in their personal appearance.
  • Must have an excellent work ethic, be reliable and able to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Good IT Skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • SIA licence essential.
