The role offers the chance to lead established contracts while bringing fresh energy, commercial focus and a customer-first approach to a portfolio that is entering an exciting phase of development.The OpportunityThis is not a traditional account management role.You'll be responsible for a diverse portfolio of long-term PFI contracts, working closely with SPVs, Local Authorities, schools, operational teams and specialist service providers to ensure exceptional service delivery, contractual compliance and strong commercial performance. Many of the contracts have several years remaining, providing the opportunity to make a lasting impact while helping to shape contract performance and client relationships for the future.You'll lead a team of Contract Managers, oversee multiple P&Ls and act as the senior point of escalation for clients and operational teams. You'll also support key lifecycle programmes and help navigate the unique challenges that come with managing complex PFI environments.What You'll Be DoingLeading a regional PFI education portfolio across multiple sites.Managing contract performance, KPIs, SLAs and commercial outcomes.Building trusted relationships with SPV partners, Local Authorities and senior client stakeholders.Coaching and developing Contract Managers to deliver consistently high standards.Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to add value.Managing subcontractors and internal service delivery teams across multiple disciplines.Supporting lifecycle planning and contract handback activities where required.Ensuring compliance, health & safety and contractual obligations are consistently met.What We're Looking ForWe're open to candidates from education, healthcare, local government or wider FM backgrounds, but PFI experience is essential.You'll likely have:Significant experience managing PFI contracts within a facilities management environment.Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.Experience managing multiple sites, contracts and budgets.A broad understanding of integrated FM services.Knowledge of compliance, fire safety and hard services challenges within complex estates.Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate established teams.The resilience and credibility to manage demanding stakeholder environments.A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the portfolio.Mitie is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees to share this commitment.
