Overview
In this role you deliver essential electrical and mechanical maintenance across a high-profile London estate, ensuring safety, reliability and continuous operation. You will work within a shift team to support critical building services and resolve faults efficiently. The position offers development opportunities and a clear path to upskill within Mitie. Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services equipment
- Diagnose faults using manuals, drawings and diagnostic tools to restore systems
- Support critical systems including power distribution, lighting, motor controls, standby generators, and fire alarm/PA systems
- Conduct inspections, identify defects or warning indicators, and take corrective action to prevent failures
- Collaborate within a balanced shift team to provide 24/7 coverage and maintain service continuity across the estate
Key requirements
- NVQ level 3 Electrical - ESSENTIAL
- City and Guilds level 3
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship
- IEE 18th Edition certification
- Minimum two years' post-apprenticeship experience in a similar building services environment
- C&G 2391 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- Ability to pass full intrusive security vetting (mandatory)
