Overview
In this role you will maintain and improve mechanical and HVAC systems at the Thales Crawley site as part of a small engineering team. You will handle planned and reactive tasks to meet SLAs and KPIs, supporting customer satisfaction and reliable facility operations. You’ll work with subcontractors, use a PDA for task reporting, and interrogate a building management system to diagnose faults. This position also involves on-call rotation and close cross-functional collaboration to ensure service quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical and HVAC PPM and reactive tasks in line with SLA and KPIs
- Collaborate with other site engineers to maintain operations
- Proactively identify and complete reactive tasks per Mitie process
- Use PDA to report tasks and progress
- Escort subcontractors and ensure works meet scope requirements
- Build relationships with stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction
- Participate in on-call rota (1 week in 5)
- Interrogate building management system to diagnose faults
Key requirements
- Experience in facilities management
- Experience with HVAC systems and mechanical works
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Water management (L8) experience
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification
