Overview
In this role you will maintain and repair air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring F-gas compliance and safety standards. You will diagnose faults, test for leaks, and document maintenance activities while supporting clients and junior engineers. You will work within a health and safety focused environment and travel between Chester, Manchester, and Liverpool. This is a hands-on senior technician role that combines technical expertise with strong customer service and teamwork, contributing to high standards of service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections of air conditioning systems across several sites
- Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and relevant standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out refrigerant leak testing and recovery
- Complete maintenance and compliance documentation
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
- Liaise with clients, customers and contractors
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team
Key requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems
- NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems
- F-gas Category 1 certification
- Minimum five years post-qualification experience
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
