Overview
In this role you will support the wastewater hire operations by preparing, servicing and repairing specialist pumping and treatment equipment. You will design and carry out service work on wastewater treatment systems, ensuring fleet performance and regulatory compliance. You’ll work on operational sites, provide high‑quality technical service, and help keep the hire fleet safe, compliant and efficient. This role offers exposure to advanced wastewater processes within a growing, critical UK infrastructure team and a clear path toward professional development and chartership.

Responsibilities
- Design, plan and execute service work on wastewater treatment systems, components and processes
- Develop maintenance methodologies, test protocols and acceptance criteria aligned with regulatory and customer requirements
- Prepare, service and repair specialist hire equipment across wastewater sites
- Provide technical service, site support and safety‑focused operations for customers
- Ensure the hire fleet remains compliant, efficient and operational
Key requirements
- Experience with wastewater treatment systems or water engineering infrastructure
- Strong understanding of wastewater processes, system chemistry and treatment performance
- Excellent analytical and report-writing ability
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Willingness to work on operational wastewater sites
- Experience with industrial wastewater systems and installations
- Knowledge of UK water industry standards and regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting bids, tenders and customer demonstrations
- Chartered or working towards professional registration (ICE, CIWEM)
- Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors and data acquisition systems
