The Sub-Contractor Works Supervisor will be a broad role responsible for directly supporting the Mitie Projects / CDM team, our clients, contractors, and others as appropriate in ensuring compliance with the CDM Regulations and ensuring the construction phase of the project is successfully managed and monitored through to completion.
Main Duties
· Conduct daily supervision / monitoring of ongoing sub-contractor works ensuring health & safety / quality performance standards are always maintained throughout the duration of the project.
· Ensure all sub-contractor documentation is maintained, updated and available on site for review, including but not limited to Construction Phase Plans, site induction records, sign in / out logs, risk assessments and method statements, PUWER checks, weekly toolbox talks, and daily task briefings.
· Conduct weekly site inspections and safety tours on live on-going project works including reporting of hazard observations / near misses observed on site.
· Undertake project specific RAMS assessments of sub-contractor works ensuring they are task specific to the outline works.
· Ensure Client / Mitie specific ‘permit to work’ systems are applied and authorised by an appointed person prior to works commencing.
· Manage and coordinate project operations between Contractors, Client & Mitie including site deliveries, security access and escorting arrangements.
· Maintain accurate records of works performed and report on-site activities to sub-contractor works manager and project managers in a timely manner.
· Liaise with Project Managers and Sub-Contractor Works Manager on matters relating to project site works including progress reporting, compensation events, delays, performance issues, unsafe practices etc in relation to contractors and projects.
· Attend project pre-start, progress and handover meetings ensuring compliance under CDM 2015 Regulations.

A varied an detailed knowledge of general building and maintenance trades and project management.

Excellent communications verbally and also via electronic methods such as emails, reports, teams etc.

Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel
