We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control and Intruder alarm equipment and associated products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Actively attending and participating in any company‑initiated training to maintain an up to date knowledge of technical aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry.
  • Service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes including fault‑finding techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
  • Capability to work to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Ability to take initiative, work with little supervision and share technical and problem‑solving knowledge with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS.
  • Following Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in the engineering field.
