We’re looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all required training and follow Mitie’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
- Maintain equipment in a clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
- Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
- Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
Qualifications
- Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
- Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Open, honest, self‑driven, and determined.
- Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
