Join a new HMRC contract and be part of something important. Mitie is recruiting Security Officers to join our team at a brand-new HMRC site in Telford. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high‑profile government contract, helping to protect people, property, and critical public services.
As a Security Officer you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day security operation of this prestigious government site. Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights, you will provide a visible security presence, carry out patrols, monitor site activity, manage access control, and respond to incidents while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Previous security experience
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure

Security Clearance Requirement
This role requires successful candidates to obtain and maintain a Security Check (SC) Clearance. To be eligible for SC Clearance, applicants must have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other government vetting requirements.

- Conducting routine patrols and security checks
